How do you access your personal power in a life changing manner?

I was drawn to the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment in 2005. I loved how it focused on what is RIGHT with people instead of mirroring our inners critic (aka Mind Monkeys) who are so quick to remind us of what is wrong with us. That niggling inner voice reminding us how often we blow it throughout the day.

In 2010 I was just starting my coaching practice. This new endeavor was a stretch for me, yet I have been an encourager and coach my whole life. This pivotal change made sense to me and was very different from other jobs I had experienced in business prior to this shift.

Don Clifton who was a forerunner in Positive Psychology, created the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment which over 33 million people globally have taken to date. Don invested his life to researching and inventing ways to help people maximize their infinite potential. His passion was to understand not only who people are, but how to put the emphasis on who they can become by leveraging those strengths.

I believe that being hard on ourselves is overrated and under recognized, because it is a habitual way of thinking. I personally have experienced this and I have watched this happen in so many women’s lives over the years. Due to this, I am excited to announce I am launching a new modality in October. This added approach will pair beautifully with StrengthsFinders and leading with Positive Intent. The new modality I am incorporating is called Positive Intelligence.

Leading with positive intent and positive intelligence are closely related concepts that, when combined, can significantly empower women in business. It will help you access your personal power in a life changing manner!

P.I.2 = Positive Intent and Positive Intelligence

Positive intelligence is strengthening your mind’s ability to shift from negative patterns of thinking to more positive, constructive thought processes. It’s based on the idea that we all have “saboteurs” that mess with our minds. These reoccurring negative voices or habits that create self-doubt, fear, and stress, ultimately delay or hold us back from living our best life. These saboteurs tend to undermine our wellbeing, performance and relationships.

Conversely, Positive Intelligence emphasizes the development of our “Sage Perspective”. The part of our brain, which is more aligned with positivity, creativity, and resilience. By consistently increasing your positive intelligence quotient (PQ), you can better manage your mind by corralling your saboteurs. The beauty is that you cultivate a mindset that is more focused on growth, problem-solving, and well-being, than on what’s wrong with you and your circumstances.

4 Benefits of P.I.2:

1. Fostering and enhancing a Growth Mindset
2. Boosting your leadership and team dynamics by building trust
3. Improving your personal and professional well-being
4. Aligning your actions with your values to live out your purpose with more ease

Let me leave you with this juicy concept from Deepak Chopra:

“Positive intent allows us to approach life with openness and curiosity, reducing misunderstandings and creating a more harmonious environment.”
